VINÍCOLA DE NULLES 1917

The Vinícola de Nulles, with the Cathedral of Wine as its emblem, is the story of a people's effort to carry out a dream.

A yearning for hope that is almost impossible after the great desolation caused by the phylloxera plague.
It is the beginning of 1900, and after hundreds of years with family plantations and wine production, the inhabitants of Nulles decide to join their resources and knowledge to create the San Isidro Union and build the town's winery; the Nulles Wine Cathedral.

The vineyard is the foundation of our trade. Having passion and loving the land are the essence of a job well done. At Nulles we are clear that only with the best grapes will we obtain the best wines, that is why the work of the oenologist begins in the field together with the farmers, the very partners of the winery who contribute with the experience of many generations. Knowing the soil and the climate that characterize us makes it possible to obtain unique wines, wines that are the expression of a territory.

In Nulles we find a warm, temperate and typically Mediterranean climate. Located only 12 km from the sea, it combines an excellent maturation due to a large number of hours of sunshine, with a good acidity given by the sea which results in wines with a very refreshing sensation.

Since the beginning of the winery, we have worked mainly with the native white varieties of the area, Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Moscatel, which give us excellent results. But we have also been working with other varieties for some time now, such as Parellada and Chardonnay in whites, and Tempranillo and Merlot in reds.

The roots, which are fed by a rich clay and lime soil but bathed by little rain, give lower but very concentrated grape production, which gives us the distinctive intensity of our wines.
