On the plantation of almost 1,500 vines, Grenache and Carignan are predominant, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to a lesser extent. As a result of the passion and enthusiasm of the owners, Palet wines are produced, honest wines with a lot of character from Priorat. With fresh aromas and intense colours, the mineralisation of the "Llicorella" terroir (native slate terroir) is latently evident in all wines.
We start by explaining what the must flower (or must tear) is: it is the first must resulting from the crushing of grapes by gravity when being emptied into the press. This type of must flows by itself, by the weight of the grape without exerting any additional pressure.
Flower must wines are the highest quality wines and their taste is light, aromatic, smooth, and fruity. It is therefore not surprising that this technique is so highly appreciated in winemaking.
Aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels.
It's a limited production of 600 bottles.
Intense cherry color, bright and clean. In the nose, aromas of ripe red fruit such as plums, garnet cherries, blackberries, and redcurrants appear. In the mouth sweet spices stand out, the oak is creamy, expressive, and balsamic. Strident tannins and a hint of acidity. Persistent and very elegant finish.
Red meat, cured cheeses, game meats: wild boar or deer stew, and Iberian cured meats.
Serve between 15º and 17ºC.
