Overall, the climate is very favourable for the good vegetative development of the vine for the production of quality wines, without the shrillness of southern wines.

With vineyards of more than 30 years old, they give that quality to the final product of "viña vieja" wine.

Tradition+Modernity, Past+Future Country+City, Sea+Mountain.

Probably one of the most attractive mysteries of Alella wines is their very existence, in the middle of the Maresme region (Barcelona), the product of small vineyards hidden from the curious gaze of visitors who for many years have been fighting for their own survival in an admirable and unequal battle against the expansion of the large urban area. This has not always been the case, as Alella's wines have a long history and an important significance within Catalan winemaking.

Already known and loved in Roman times, they are cited by Plini and Marcial as Layetan wines. In the middle of the Middle Ages, Alellenco wines were the favourite wines of the Barcelona See, to later become one of the most exported quality wines of Catalonia around the world, with particular incidence in the overseas colonies, where the population of Catalans was abundant.

The vineyards of Montserrat.

Traditional and very personalized care of the vine that translates into the quality of their wines. Inside With a continental Mediterranean climate of medium mountains, El Bages has the ideal conditions for wine growing: an exceptional microclimate, low rainfall and strong thermal oscillation, as well as a clayey and calcareous soil.

Its wines are impregnated with balsamic notes of lavender, thyme and rosemary.

These aromatic plants populate the pine, oak and holm oak forests that surround the vineyards.

Historically it was a region of strong production that fell to the detriment of plagues, wars, industrialization and heavy frosts. But the effort and perseverance of its winegrowers, learning and innovation with new technologies, makes today a prosperous area of production again.

The most extensive in Catalonia.

The influence of the sun and the Mediterranean Sea make the Penedès a privileged territory for the cultivation of vines.

In this environment, enjoying the sun among the vineyards, walking through towns and cities, and discovering the great wines of its wineries, is a highly rewarding experience.

The diversity of D.O. Penedès wines stems from their topographical and microclimatic uniqueness.

A thousand flavours and aromas are the result of the differences in climate, landscape and the variety of its soils, here coloured by the green of its mountains, there by the blue of the Mediterranean waters.

The essence of the Mediterranean.

The climate of the D.O. Tarragona and the direct influence of the sea, with a gentle orography and exceptional terrain, offer us soft, fresh and typically Mediterranean wines. The D.O. Tarragona has a variety of "lands", the ones closest to the sea being clearly different from those that are neighbours of the river Ebro.

Wine has been made since the existence of Tarraco, capital of the extensive Hispanic province of the Roman Empire in the first century AD.

The soils of the region of Campo de Tarragona are mostly from the Miocene period, calcareous and light soils, the soils of the area of Ribera de Ebro are from the Tertiary period, calcareous and stony, and alluvial soils from the Quaternary period.

The Mediterranean climate is characterized by mild winters and much warmer summers, although they are tempered by the sea breeze.

Wines that love the land.

Although the appellation was born in 2002, this land and these families have been working the culture of wine since the time of the Roman Empire.

The most characteristic wines of this D.O. are the reds, because the most produced grapes are the Garnatxa and the Carignan.

The white wines produced here are silky and fruity, and the rosés are intense in aroma. It is a DO of strong export weight, mainly to Central Europe and the United States.

Excellence in wine production.

We have been making wines in the Priorat for a thousand years that transmit the essence of a unique land.
Nine villages make up the Qualified Designation of Origin which is divided into twelve wine producing areas. A total of 109 wineries produce black, white and rosé wines of the Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin.

The Priorat are mainly red wines made with carignan, black and hairy garnatxa, and to a lesser extent, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah. They have a high alcohol content, are full-bodied, fleshy and have complex aromas. They are original and elegant, hence their great recognition around the world.

The slate or Licorella, as it is called in Catalan, is the most differential stretch, the one that gives the seal of quality to these wines.

The rehabilitation of the vine was carried out slowly, with the certainty that it had to be rooted in the memory of the terroir. In a curious mixture that associates the evolution of a traditional culture with agrarian vestiges of the past and an exuberant nature with a respectful and efficient replanting.

Wines with body and soul.

Its uniqueness is due to its climatic condition of "Mediterranean inland", Mediterranean climate, but with a strong continental influence, where thermal oscillations are pronounced, from at least 6 ° C to 38 ° C in summer.

Two unique characteristics stand out: the balance between the northwest winds (Cerç) and the garbinadas (or marinades of southern component) and a cold winter with continental attributes.

The definition of "classic bottle-fermented and cava-aged" could characterize the sparkling wines with a cava designation, and served as a basis for the name.

Cava is a Protected Designation of Origin for sparkling wines from Spain produced by the traditional method.

The region covered by the designation of origin, called the Cava Region, mainly comprises the Catalan region of Penedès (provinces of Barcelona and Tarragona).
